Looking to buy my first T-34, understand spar and AD’s, is there any other important questions I should be asking sellers? Is there any hidden quirks to look out for? Thanks in advance for your help

The T-34 is a very solid airplane, in spite of the several AD’s issued on the subject of wing failure. It flys great, looks great, is generally very reliable. There are a few recurring AD’s that will not cause you much grief, certainly not commensurate with the pure joy you will get out of owning and flying the most common sense warbird in the air.

    Hey Brad,
Much like Terry, I highly recommend a T34. I couldn’t bring myself to buying a regular airplane, much to my wife’s dismay. It’s always motivating to go fly the docile yet maneuverable and venerable T34. My son learned to fly in it when he was 15, simplicity with a huge coolness quotient to it.
